Advance 375A select granular ant bait Insecticide contains abamectin, a chemical that disrupts an ant's nervous system. The worker ants take the granular ant bait back to the colony where it's distributed to other members. The queen ant dies once the bait reaches her, bringing the reproduction cycle to an end. The workers also die after carrying the bait, as well as any other ants that have come into contact with the granules.
