How Fuse Foam Readt-to-Use Termiticide Works

Fuse Foam termiticide contains two active ingredients for improved pest control: fipronil and imidacloprid. Fipronil acts on a pest's nervous system in the same way that a pyrethroid would. It attacks the nerves and overexcites the muscles, preventing the pest from feeding and grooming. After a while, the pest becomes too paralyzed to move and dies. Imidacloprid is a residual insecticide and targets the pest's neural pathways. However, it acts more slowly and gives the insects time to transmit the ingredient to other members, ultimately killing the colony.

Where to Use Fuse Foam Termiticide

Apply Fuse termiticide and insecticide foam in areas where insects nest indoors and outdoors. It penetrates deep into hard-to-reach places to prevent termites and ants from spreading farther into a structure. It's useful for treating pests that harbor in tree stumps, foundation slabs, fence posts and utility poles. Pest management professionals can use this insecticide on the spot to treat foraging ants, carpenter bees and other flying and crawling pests before returning later to apply a full treatment. Some common areas for using Fuse Foam include:

  • Expansion joints in homes
  • Crawlspaces and wall voids
  • Settlement cracks
  • Wire entryways into a building

Spray the foam inside insect galleries and colonies to infect the pests with the active ingredients. The foam has a 30:1 expansion ratio and will remain active on the target surface to infect wandering members as they return to the nest.

Target Pests

Fuse Foam is labeled as a termiticide and an insecticide. The formula is specialized to treat numerous termite species while also controlling various flying and crawling insects, especially those that cause wood damage. Not all insects nest in the open where everyone can see them, so it's important to treat the pests in out-of-the-way spaces like the grooves in wood and the spaces between boards, including the cracks in bricks. Some common target pests include:

  • Ants such as carpenter, Argentine and ghost species
  • Termites including drywood and subterranean species
  • Carpenter bees
  • Deathwatch beetles
  • Boxelder bugs
  • Powderpost beetles
  • Cluster flies
  • Kudzu bugs

Reasons to Use Fuse Foam

Fuse Foam ready-to-use termiticide and insecticide gives pest control professionals a quick and reliable product for treating insects on the spot. It reaches deep into cracks, crevices and voids to infect termites, ants and other wood-damaging insects where they live, feed and breed. It can be applied to exposed and unexposed wood when targeting an existing infestation and insect pests that may target the site in the future. Other beneficial reasons to use Fuse Foam include:

  • Contains two ingredients for maximum pest-fighting action
  • Targets wood-destroying insects such as termites and carpenter ants
  • Easy direct injection thanks to the built-in applicator tube
  • For use on landscape targets such as stumps, trees and shrubs
  • Can be used indoors to target attacking pests in wall voids
  • Slow-acting formula infects and eliminates the entire colony

Fuse Foam Kills Termites and Other Pests

Applying Fuse Foam may require drilling into target areas such as walls and slabs. Therefore, tools such as a drill will be required to penetrate insect galleries in order to apply the foam effectively. However, the built-in applicator tube makes it easy to apply the foam in exposed cracks and crevices whether they're indoors or outdoors. The high expansion ratio provides full coverage in the target area and penetrates voids to reach the insects. No matter if it's carpenter ants, termites or wood-damaging beetles, Fuse Foam termiticide and insecticide is ready to go and doesn’t require mixing or any additional application equipment.
