How Zenprox EC Insecticide Works

Zenprox EC Insecticide contains two active ingredients to kill pest insects on contact. First, it contains 16 percent etofenprox for fast and effective control of the target insects. It's a synthetic pyrethroid that lasts longer than similar pyrethroids in its class. It goes to work quickly through digestion or contact and paralyzes the insects. Because they can't eat or perform any movements, they die within minutes or hours.

Second, Zenprox EC Insecticide contains piperonyl butoxide, a synergist that's used in many different pesticides. It boosts the active ingredient, enhancing the effects and helping it to kill the target pests more quickly. Because it contains 64 percent piperonyl butoxide, this product is highly effective at killing even the most resistant species such as bedbugs and roaches.

Where to Use Zenprox EC Insecticide

Zenprox EC insecticide is labeled for indoor use only. It should not be applied outdoors as it can harm beneficial insects and other life. It can be applied as a broadcast treatment or as a spot, crack or crevice treatment to target insects in areas such as closets, crawlspaces and corners. Use Zenprox EC in the following areas and more:

  • Apartment buildings
