What is a Surfactant?

A surfactant is any compound that breaks a liquid's surface tension and increases its contact with a target substance. A prime example is hand soap. It breaks the surface tension of water and helps the liquid get under and remove dirt and grime from your hands. When it's combined with a pesticide, Alligare Surfactant helps the chemical agents penetrate the leaves and go to work on the target pest.

How Does Alligare Surface Work?

Alligare Surface contains a 100 percent proprietary blend of formulation aids, glycol derivatives, humectant and alkyl polyoxethylene. This general-purpose, nonionic surfactant can be used with most any pesticide or plant growth regulator in a variety of settings. Surface mixes well in the tank and improves a product's performance instantaneously. The active ingredients break the surface tension of the product and help the plant absorb it more easily for greater results.

Where to Use Alligare Surface Surfactant

Use Alligare Surface with any compatible insecticide, fungicide or herbicide to kill and control pests in lawns, commercial grassy areas, industrial turf and forestry sites. You should add Surface right before filling the container with water and then shake it before spraying the mixture onto the target areas. Once it's applied, the surfactant will help the product stick to the leaves and start working.

Alligare Surface Surfactant Increases Pesticide Effectiveness
