How Advance Termite Wood Monitoring Bases Work
Advance Termite Monitoring Bases don't contain any active ingredients to control or to eliminate termite infestations. In fact, they don't offer any type of termite control. They only help to detect subterranean termite activity outdoors near structures in the target area. Each wood base is exposed to the soil and has horizontal grooves, giving the termites easy access inside. The bases are also made with wood that subterranean termites prefer.
Where to Use Advance Wood Bases
Use Advance Termite Monitoring Bases outdoors near homes, businesses, industrial sites and other places where subterranean termites may threaten structures. The bases should be placed inside Advance monitoring stations about 10 to 15 feet apart around the building and at least 3 feet away from the foundation. Check the wood bases for termite activity every three months; replace them once every 12 to 15 months.
Note: Advance wood bases don't contain insecticide. Therefore, they should not be used as a treatment for termite infestations.
Target Pests
Advance Termite Monitoring Bases only work to detect subterranean termite activity, not activity from any other termite species. Because subterranean termites attack structures from below the soil, these wood bases are ideal for checking the infestation levels and determining the type of treatment that will be necessary. If termites have been detected, the wood bases can be swapped with bait cartridges to eliminate the pests.
