How Steri-Fab Insecticide Works

Steri-Fab insecticide spray contains four ingredients to provide maximum results when controlling target pests. These four ingredients combine to create the perfect storm for bacteria, mold and bedbugs, making it a powerful pesticide and sterilizer. The active ingredients include:

• Permethrin
• Isopropyl alcohol
• Didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC)
• Benzalkonium chloride

The Active Ingredient Permethrin is a potent synthetic pyrethroid for killing pest insects. It targets the nervous system and causes overexcitation in the muscles. It works on contact and leads to paralysis and death in the target pest.

Isopropyl alcohol is an effective antibacterial agent and disinfects the target surface. It also dissolves the cells in bedbugs and repels the pests from a treated area. This ingredient gives Steri-Fab a faint alcohol smell as it's sprayed on surfaces.

DDAC serves multiple purposes in Steri-Fab insecticide. It's useful for killing and controlling fungi and sterilizing surfaces to prevent regrowth.

Benzalkonium chloride is a surfactant and reduces the surface tension of the insecticide. It keeps all the ingredients from separating in the solution. Therefore, it increases the effectiveness of the insecticide on the targets.

Where to Use Steri-Fab Insecticide Spray

Use Steri-Fab insecticide indoors; it's not labeled for outdoor use. It can be applied to cracks, crevices and voids to target the pests where they hide and nest. Spray the solution on hard surfaces such as countertops and floors and soft surfaces such as carpets and bedding. It's useful for killing and controlling labeled pests in homes and offices, including commercial businesses such as hotels and motels. Some surface areas to consider treating include:

Note: When applying Steri-Fab to hard surfaces, spray enough of the solution to make the entire surface wet. Let the solution sit for at least 10 minutes before wiping it dry.
