How Drive XLR8 Herbicide Works

Drive XLR8 Herbicide label shows it contains the active ingredient quinclorac, which helps to kill crabgrass and other hard-to-control weeds in commercial, recreational and residential settings. It also works best with a surfactant that contains methylated seed oil, which helps to increase the contact between the herbicide and the plant. This combination promotes even greater absorption and uptake and quicker control of crabgrass and other weeds.

Drive XLR8 Herbicide Target Weeds

Though Drive XLR8 Herbicide is labeled for use on crabgrass, it also works effectively on several broadleaf weeds and grasses. Some of these lawn pests include:

  • Barnyardgrass
  • Clover
  • Dandelion
  • Foxtail
  • Speedwell

How to Use Drive XLR8 Herbicide

Use Drive XLR8 Herbicide on Bermuda grass, Kentucky bluegrass, fescue and ryegrass to prevent weed growth in residential and commercial areas. However, do not use this herbicide on St. Augustine, centipede, dichondra, bahiagrass or bentgrass. Applying Drive XLR8 to these grasses can harm the lawn.

Apply Drive XLR8 uniformly across the entire target area. It can also be applied as a spot treatment on problematic areas throughout the lawn. For the best results, do not mow the lawn at least two days before or after the application. In the case of dry soil, irrigating the yard may improve weed control.

Take Out Crabgrass with Drive XLR8 Herbicide

Whether it's a sod farm or a golf course, Drive XLR8 Herbicide stops the growth of crabgrass and other broadleaf weeds and grasses. It mixes with other herbicides for even greater results and absorbs quickly into the plant for complete and quick eradication.
